No Luck
Legions at war is a no-luck sandbox tactical game. Players have the same AP, Order, health and damage to ensure fair tactical matachups
Sandbox
The game includes a fully features sandbox to create your own tactical game
Single-Multi Player
The game supports a single player campaign that will be replaced in the next version and multi-player matchups.

One of the core mechanics of the sandbox is called orders. As commander of the battlefield you are limited to a set amount of orders you can give each turn.
At the beginning of every turn all players will have the same amount of orders. When an action point of a unit is used the order amount decreases by the amount of AP. At zero orders, no more actions can be taken. Using multiple action points will reduce orders by the amount of AP displayed. In this case two. Keep an eye out in this corner for the amount of orders you have left.
When creating a game in the sandbox builder, adjusting this slider will set the amount of orders for the game. A chess-like game for example will have 1-4 orders, while larger modern battlefields will require more..

Every unit and even buildings in the game have three combat stances. Offense, Defence and Tactical. To make things easier you will see each tile has a certain color. This color shows what combat stance is active. Offense = Green Defence = Red Tactical = Yellow.
Changing combat stances consumes an action point. Combat stances allow varied maneuverability to units as well as different loadout in weapons, ammunition or in some cases an ability.
To see an advanced interface of combat stances, while hovering over the unit press spacebar. This will bring up an interface showing what each combat stance does.
If you are familiar with a combat stance, you can use the quickbar at the bottom of your screen to change combat stance or use abilities.
With over 30 units it can be hard to remember how a unit maneuvers with each combat stance so an easy way to check a unit's maneuverability and attack range, right click on the unit. The units range will light up.

All units have 2 X special abilities related to their specific military class. A unit has a set number of usages of their special ability. When hovering over a unit the amount of abilities left is indicated by the red circle here.
Once this number reaches zero the unit can not use any more special abilities for the remainder of the game. Some buildings and ammo supply staches replenish a unit’s special abilities. When creating a game you can add this ammo environment to the game. When a unit enters this tile, his abilities will replenish.
Here is an example of the sniper's ghost ability. While active the sniper is invisible to the enemy while not in attack range. To attack the sniper must exit the ghost ability.
Here is another example of the jet unit’s special ability called napalm strike. Dropping napalm on several tiles.
The special abilities of units are powerful and can turn the tide of a battle, so be sure to use them wisely. When creating a game to adjust the amount of special abilities a unit has you can adjust this slider.

The engine allows you to adjust the health, damage and AP of units. This allows you to create any variation of chess or a modern battlefield.
To ensure a fair tactical battle, in multi-player both players will have the same attributes.
When creating a game in the sandbox builder, you can set the default value of each or edit these values by selecting the unit. For more information see the video how to create a game below.

King Destroy When this victory condition is selected you will lose the game, once your selected King unit is destroyed. You can select multiple King units. Losing either King unit will trigger the end of the game. King Extraction When this victory condition is selected you need to select a King or VIP unit as well as have an extraction unit on the board. When the VIP unit reaches the extraction point it is game over.
We are planning to add allot more victory conditions.

The sandbox allows you to create any game. You are in control of board sizes, rules, units and their atrributes
